I have known many that have left the Watchtower once or many times, but keep coming back. They never stop thinking that it is the "truth". If you have gone to any meetings you would see that they refer to their religion as "the truth" about ever other sentence. If your going to help your wife, she has to come to the conclusion that it's not the truth.
My mother for years had left the Catholic Church because of the rude and mean people that where in her church. She also had alot of problems with Church poicies. Despite all of this she still held on for years that the Catholics where the right religion, but the people where just bad. The same type of strange reasoning may still be in your wife, a deep emotional attachment to things she was told was the truth. Worse yet, she may see anything you say that is not positive about the witnesses as "persecution" from satan.
Here is what I suggest. The Watchtower has its strongest grasp on people when it comes to their "basic Bible teachings". The publications they study with people will show you everthing wrong that all christian relgions do expect them. These points are more than likely the ones your wife has an attachment to. If you start to read the publications that ARE NOT for a newly baptized or associated one you will be amazed with what you find. Prophecies that fullfill themselves in articles published by the Watchtower, inconsistancies, even material that says that the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" Aka the Watchtower is symbolic of the Woman in revelation. Mabye that the 144,000 is the only number in revelation that is taken literally by the Witnesses. Anyway, my point is that by looking into such wild teachings you may be able to help your wife to see that "the truth" although seemingly logical when reading the begginer books from the society, quickly turnes into absurdity when doing hard research.

Was Charles Russell Murdered and Why On Halloween Night?
by Rig Boy incharles taze russell: (founder of the watchtower bible and tract society) died october 31, 1916 halloween night.
watchtower secrets.
so did the masonic lodge finally have enough of russell and his magical wheat, which was an embarrasment to international freemasonry and the illuminati, and finally do in russell on the occultic high holiday?

I think Russell was murdered but you got the motive wrong. Nostradamus didn't like the competition, so he arranged a little "meeting".

By the way, what in the hell is "magical wheat"? I can't stop laughing at that one.

Jw vs Christianity...

I agree that this chart is incomplete and does not lay things out in "black and white". Micahel isn't the archangel because "There is no basis for this anywhere in the Bible." Get some real information in there instead of generalized Watchtower babble.

I am so glad Ray decided to publish his books. His insight into the material is far beyond what any of us could have ever seen, heard, or expieranced. Crisis of Conscience got me started, In Search of Christian Freedom is possibly the best book I have ever read (and may possibly ever read). What I love about the books is that after you are done with them you realize that it's now up to YOU to decide what to believe and stop letting others rule that authority over you.

Let me first say that I think it's a poorly organized quiz with far to many generalzations. I found myself not in full agreement with any of the choices in many of the questions. I still took it though, I scored 55%.

JWs are very much unlike early christians!
by greendawn indo you think the jws are really modelled on the early church as they like to claim?
i don't think they come close to it in terms of doctrine, authority structure, or mindset.
eg they know nothing about charity towards their own or fellow humans in general, they have a very centralised power structure, they kick against any advice given to the fds, they never celebrate the eucharist, they are jehovah rather than christ centred.

I agree that the Witnesses are very differant fromt what the first century christians whould have been, at the same time i think that MOST EVER CHRISITAN RELIGION TODAY has major differances with what the early congregations where.

Survey: Out of all the doors you went to, how many asked..............
by whyizit incould you estimate how many doors you went to within a year's time, what percentage claimed to be christians, and how many asked good thought-provoking questions?
questions that made you really think and wonder if something was not quite right with the wt.
how important do you think it would be in the lives of jws to have this happen on a more regular basis?

In my span of service from the late 90's to now I don't think i ever did enough territory to go over 1,000 doors. I don't even think I got over 500. People around here don't like going out in service, and when they do go out it's all about wasting time on pointless RVs and Bathroom breaks. Meaningful conversation? One or two, but I never went back soon, I think subconsciencly I didn't want them to learn more about the witnesses. I also must add that most of those doors where done over two years ago. The number of doors i have been to the last few years wouldn't add up to over 75 i think.
